Neurological Disorders
The three main neurological disorders are:
- Guillain-Barre Syndrome, which is a tingling in the feet, grows upwards, and can cause paralysis.
- Epilepsy (and Seizures), which is when the activity of the nerve cells in the brain are disrupted, leading to a seizure.
- Parkinson's Disease, which affects movement. Can cause stiffness or tremors.
Treatments:
- Blood tranfusions and physical therapy.
- Types of medications are sedatives and some nerve pain medication. Surgery is sometimes needed.
- Types of treatment to control the symptoms consist of anti-depressants, anti-tremors, and Dopamine promoters.
